
American Heart Association CPR Certification
Heartsaver CPR/AED Class
The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED adult and pediatric certification class (EMSA approved for CA Child Providers) covers Adult, Child, Infant CPR, choke-saving, and how to use an AED (defibrillator).
Important: If you are a doctor, nurse, nursing student, dentist, EMT, paramedic, lifeguard, or in the medical/healthcare field or going into the medical/healthcare field, you should attend the American Heart Association BLS CPR class instead of this one.
Audience: Child care providers (EMSA approved), teachers (clear credentials), fitness trainers (ACE, NASM, ISSA, AFAA), camp counselors, coaches, foster care, social workers, parents, nannies, babysitters (+ 10 years old), construction, general workplace.
CA Child Care Providers: This American Heart Association Pediatric CPR course satisfies your CPR certification requirement for licensing (EMSA approved license: EMSA 0204-DC).
Length: 3 hours
Cost: $70 (cash, or check made out to STS, NO CREDIT CARDS)
Payment: You can pay us on the day of your CPR class.
Certification: AHA CPR/AED card valid 2 years
Prerequisite: This CPR course is for CPR renewal or first time.
Minimum age: We recommend over 10 years old.
American Heart Association CPR Book
You will receive the American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver CPR/AED book on the day of the class. Other CPR companies charge an extra $20-$25 for the book.
American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/AED Course
You will get the CPR certification card on the same day of the class.
Other Bay Area CPR facilities send the cards by mail, which can take a few weeks for you to receive.
We don’t cancel cpr courses (even if only one participant shows up).
Other Bay Area CPR facilities cancel the class with just one day’s notice if there are not enough students.
You only pay if you attend & you don’t pay until the day of the course.
Other Bay Area CPR facilities demand prepayment and offer no refunds if you cancel or have to reschedule.
You will get the American Heart Association (AHA) certification card.
There are some CPR companies in the Bay Area that teach non-certified CPR classes, which are not accepted.
Our CPR Training Classroom
We will have coffee, tea, soda, water, and granola bars. The American Heart Association CPR instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, & supportive and I am sure you will have a nice time.
English as a Second Language
The AHA CPR classes are video driven so even if English is your second language, you will do fine. Our CPR instructors will help you during the CPR practice sessions and the training classes are very stress-free. We have instructors who speak Danish, Swedish, Spanish, and French.
Infants & Children
Infants and children are not allowed in the classroom. Only people who are attending the class are allowed in the CPR classroom.
After you register for this CPR certification class
We will email you a confirmation letter a few days before the class with all the details (check your spam folder). Please arrive to class 10 minutes before start time.
If you need to cancel
No worries. Remember you only pay for the class if you attend, but please email us back if you cannot attend so we can give your place to someone else.
