Berkeley Architectural Heritage Spring House Tour & Garden Reception

This year’s tour focuses on the Garber Street Hill area, which features an intriguing variety of architectural styles. Tour goers will visit ten houses built between 1904 and 1927, among them wooden Craftsman-style houses, elegant Mediterranean houses, a grand and gracious half-timbered house, as well as an architect’s own home, designed in a very personal style.

Open on the tour will be houses designed by Henry H. Gutterson, Edward Seely, George T. Plowman & John Hudson Thomas, Williams & Wastell, Joseph Coward, F.E. Allen, and Louis Engler.

Tour map, illustrated guidebook, and refreshments will be provided. General admission $40; BAHA members $30.

Tour-day ticket booth will be located at the front entrance to Emerson Elementary School, 2800 Forest Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94705.
