Odd, gawky and ridiculed for deserving his name, Ugly, is separated from his loving mother by a wily Cat. While his mother searches for him, Ugly embarks on a journey to find his way back, and not only discovers his true beauty but also love and acceptance. With its message of tolerance and wonderful charm and humor, Honk Jr. is a captivating musical for audiences of all ages. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale of the Ugly Duckling, it is as much a bright and tuneful romp about being different, as it is an insightful and original love story. The original production of Honk! won an Olivier Award (the British equivalent of the Tony®) in London in 2000.
