Epigrams with Tom Farber

Tom Farber reads from his latest book of epigrams Foregone Conclusions(Andrea Young Arts, $15). This elegant slim volume also contains a companion essay describing the author's obsession with this terse form which he has practiced over the years and published in the earlier volumes Hesitation Marks,The Twoness of Oneness, and Truth Be Told.

"Thomas Farber has a weird and wonderful mind. He sees everything we see but more. Because he sees more and is so good at saying less, his epigrams translate human experience into playful gems of meaning. The art of the epigram is not only alive and well but thrives under Farber's thoughtful observations."--Leonard Pitt

Thomas Farber is publisher/editor-in-chief of El Leon Literary Arts. He is a prolific writer in multiple genres, a winner of numerous awards, prizes and scholarships including three Guggenheims and the National Endowment for the Arts. He teaches at UC Berkeley.
