Earth Day - Family & Home Expo

Sarah Arnold of the J. Rockcliff’s Orinda and Oakland office has organized a Family and Home Expo at the auditorium of the Orinda Community Center.  The event, to be held on “Earth Day” - Sunday April 22, 2012, will showcase businesses and services that interest green-minded, environmentally conscious homeowners and parents.

Vendors at this green-oriented event include companies who can help homeowners with sustainable landscaping, construction design, solar design, interior design, outdoor living, beekeeping, and more.  In addition to promoting their products and services, vendors will also be sponsoring activities and give-aways for children and their parents.  There will also be free entertainment for children by Andy Zandy the Magician and balloon twister as well as performances by Soja Martial Arts.  Raffle prizes will be given out to attendees as well as those who register online, but are unable to attend.

“Our goal in putting this event together is to give environmentally conscious homeowners and parents a massive pool of eco-friendly resources all under one roof,” said Arnold.  “Increasingly, homeowners are looking for ways to conserve resources and to live greener, healthier lifestyles.  But it can be difficult to know where to originate that effort.  This event will provide that opportunity while celebrating Earth Day in festive, family-oriented environment.  Hopefully this will become an annual event.”
