Historical Walking Tour: Women’s Social Clubs South of the Cal Campus

Visit four women’s clubs that were founded in the 19th century, three of which still exist as clubs. These include the Berkeley Piano Club, the Berkeley City Club and the Town and Gown Club. We will also visit the Bancroft Hotel, which was built for the College Women’s Club. At each site, a speaker will tell us of the history of that club. Not wheelchair accessible.
