Marsh Youth Theater Summer Class: "Twain's World"

Entering grades 6-9 (5th graders who have previously attended MYT are welcome.)
July 18 - August 6
Performances: August 5 & 6

Monday - Friday, 9:30 am- 4 pm
Sliding Scale Tuition: $75 - $875/three-week session

Join Marsh Youth Theater as MainStage Summer creates an original musical theater production based on Mark Twain’s brilliant, The Man That Corrupted Hadleyburg. What happens when a mysterious stranger abandons a sack of gold in the midst of a respectable town of model citizens?  Chaos, of course!  MYT students will bring Twain’s story up-to-date by creating their own script, dances, music and sets to portray Twain’s satirical story of honesty, greed and treachery.

MainStage Summer is a three-week workshop taught by professional artists. Students rotate through classes of drama, music, dance, set construction and electives.

The multi-disciplinary nature of the program allows each child to shine both behind the scenes and on stage. Students develop a strong ensemble that fosters self-confidence and lasting friendships. This workshop culminates in two performances of a spectacular show for family and friends.
