"Tales of an Explorer" is a presentation by Mandip Singh Soin, founder of IBEX Expeditions in New Delhi, India. In this retrospective, he tells stories of his many expeditions, travels to Tibet, Mongolia, and many other destinations. He is a mountaineer, philosopher, environmentalist, knighted, a member of the Explorer's Club, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and has received many awards for his environmentally sensitive treks and other tours.
He is visiting Berkeley for a few days, so as an old friend, I wanted to organize a presentation. We are donating all net proceeds to three charities: World Wildlife Fund -- India, Cal Adventures for youth camperships, and the Contra Costa Search and Rescue.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10. Door Prizes. Please RSVP, but you can also come that night if there are still seats. Several sponsoring companies such as Cal Adventures will have information available.
