Community Corner

Win Win, A NIAD Art Center Fundraiser

For three decades, NIAD Art Center has been crafting a supportive and successful studio program for artists with disabilities to tell their stories using contemporary art idioms. And we’ve been doing it with a lot of support from our community. This spring we need your help again. But, with our new fundraiser, Win Win, we’ve sweetened the deal. At Win Win, no one is ever a loser. Truly. NIAD has commissioned artists  -- over 125 national and local artists, including all of the artists at NIAD’s studio art program -- to produce work (paintings, photographs, sculptures and drawings) in a standard 6 x 6” format. Everyone with an admission ticket takes home a randomly chosen piece of art.  Oh yeah, Win Win also features live music, light refreshments and a photo booth where the proud new owner and their work of art can be captured together.

Win Win features work from James Aaron, Saul Alegria, Gale Antokal, Barbara Arbogast, Lauren Ari, Chris Ashley, Lois Ann Barnett, Lynn Beldner, Lisa Blevens, Eddie Braught, Jen Brazelton, Ray Brown, Tim Buckwalter, Jeremy Burleson, Phylliss Carr, John Casey, Raquel Charles, Andres Cisneros-Galindo, Deatra Colbert, Patti Cook, Forrest Curl, Tony Dattilo, Arista Dawson, Krissi Dean, Julio Del Rio, Lisa Dobel, Adonia Douglas, Bill Dunlap, Luis Estrada, Darlene Farr, Carlos Fernandez, Sylvia Fragoso, Erik Friedman, Terri Saulin Frock, Jon Fukui, Adrienne Garcia Olmedo, Santiago Gervasi, Felecia Griffin, Peter Lars Gravener, Ruben Guzman, Brent Hallard, Shana Harper, Raven Harper, Maria Hartikainen, Peter Harris, Cliff Hengst, Matthew Higgs, Shirley How, Jeffrey Cortland Jones, Kathleen King, Eva Lake, Matthew Langley, Michael Macfeat, Scott Macleod, Sara Malpass, Erica Martinez, Karen May, Jean McElvane, Ann Meade, Jan Mignaud, Mike Monteiro, Marlon Mullen, Tomoko Murakimi, Carol Newborg, Tony Pedemonte, Dorothy Porter, Maria Radilla, Kevin Randolph, Dorian Reid, Shantae Robinson, Angela Rogers, Russell Rogers, Elena Rossi, Alice Sampson, Jessica Snow, Joni Spigler, Linda Marie Stewart, Maurice Stradford, Danny Thach, Jeff Tidwell, Beverly Trieber, Jonathan Valdivias, Christian Vassel, Jonathan Velasquez, Vincent Villanueva, Michael Walker, Billy White, Angie Wilson, Michelle Wilson, Jim Winters, Susan Wise, Michael Zahn and Nina Zurier.
