SWINGSHIFT SINGERS

A daytime singing class for all women who want music in their lives. Taught by Ellen Robinson

Learn vocal technique, breathing, beginning note reading skills and how to harmonize in different styles: pop, jazz, oldies and show tunes. Treat yourself to good music, good folks and good fun! All voices are welcome.

In addition to her private students, Ellen Robinson teaches at the Jazzschool in Berkeley, directs the Anything Goes Chorus, for men and women in San Francisco and Oakland, and a women's ensemble called Girlfriendz.

Ellen has been teaching singing and directing vocal groups for over 30 years and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). She has been a vocal instructor at U.C. Berkeley Extension, a choral director for teenagers in the Oakland Youth Chorus, and a music instructor for children at Walden Center School in Berkeley and Beacon School in Oakland.

Ellen Robinson performs in the Bay Area as a jazz vocalist and her 3rd CD entitled "Don’t Wait Too Long" will be released Oct 21st with a concert at Freight and Salvage in Berkeley.
