Hosted by the Lawrence Hall of Science and the College of Letters and Science, Professor Richards’ lecture will reveal how new geological studies have brought up questions as to what caused the demise of T. rex and friends in a great mass extinction. Was it caused by volcanic eruptions, or a large meteor impact, or is it really more complicated than it first appeared? Find out from one of Berkeley’s own as Professor Richards discusses “the great murder mystery of 66 million years ago.”
