Father's Day Celebration at Bourbon & Beef

On Father's Day, Sunday, June 19, Bourbon & Beef in Oakland will be open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM for brunch and from 4:00 to 10:00 PM for dinner serving their regular a la carte menus plus, for dinner, a holiday Surf N' Turf special with a tomahawk ribeye steak, seared diver scallop, caviar, shaved asparagus, smoked bacon and Point Reyes blue cheese butter, accompanied by either a bourbon flight or a glass of red or white wine ($69.00). Other dinner highlights will include Devils Gulch quail-Hudson Valley foie gras with a Maderia reduction, prosciutto wrapped fig, Bloomsdale spinach, duck and rabbit sausage stuffing, young carrot, radish and Tokyo turnips ($30.00); Trio of Crudo with ahi tuna carpaccio, rock shrimp ceviche, salmon poke, wasabi soy and wontons ($18.00); and local Ling Cod with a port sherry reduction, morel mushrooms and Delta asparagus ($28.00). Among the brunch options will be a Crab Benedict with farm fresh poached eggs, Dungeness crab, Béarnaise sauce and Yukon Gold breakfast potatoes ($18.00) and Duck Confit and Waffles with two eggs any style, pure maple syrup and honey butter ($18.00).
