Female Sexually Battered, Robbed In Her Berkeley Home

The incident occurred Sunday morning, police said.

BERKELEY, CA – A male sexually battered a woman in her Berkeley residence Sunday morning, then stole property before leaving, according to authorities.

The assault occurred about 6 a.m. on the 2400 block of Blake Street, the Berkeley Police Department said.

The suspect was described as black with a dark complexion, between 20 and 30 years old, clean shaven, 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build, a "square-shaped" face and either balding or with very short hair, police said. He was reported wearing a three-button, polo-style shirt that was orange from collar to chest area and striped below.
