BERKELEY, CA — A one alarm fire in the 1800 block of Delaware Street in Berkeley sent black smoke into the sky during the noon hour on Tuesday. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in a residential neighborhood without any injuries reported.
Smoke from the fire was widely seen around the area, drawing a small crowd to watch the situation unfold.
Police closed Delaware for about four hours to allow firefighters to do their job.
