Former Cal football players Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Cleveland center Alex Mack were selected to the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl to be played Sunday, Jan. 31 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. Rodgers’ selection was his fifth, while Mack becomes the first Browns’ center to earn three trips to the Pro Bowl.
Rodgers has Green Bay in sole possession of first place in the NFC North with a 10-4 overall record and helped the Packers clinch a spot in NFL Playoffs with a victory over the Oakland Raiders last Sunday. He has completed 304-of-500 passes for 3,379 yards with 29 touchdowns and six interceptions for a 95.2 quarterback rating through the first 14 games of the 2015 regular season. Rodgers notably hooked up with fellow former Golden Bear Richard Rodgers for a memorable 61-yard Hail Mary touchdown on the final play of a Week 13 victory over Detroit that began the Packers’ current three-game win streak.

Mack has started all 14 regular-season games in 2015 after returning from a season-ending injury in 2014 that caused him to miss the final 11 games of the campaign. He had played in the first 85 contests of his career before his 2014 injury and the next start of his NFL career will be the 100th.
