FOX Sports 1 to Air Cal, Stanford Game on Saturday
117th Big Game to kick off at 1 p.m. on Nov. 22

The Pac-12 announced Saturday that the 117th Big Game pitting Cal against Stanford on Saturday, Nov. 22 will be televised live by FOX Sports 1 and kick off from Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium at 1 p.m. PT. Audio broadcasts of all Cal football games are also available on KGO 810 AM, the Cal IMG Sports Network, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and online at CalBears.com via TuneIn.
Both teams are 5-5 overall and one win shy of bowl eligibility, with the Bears last playing in a bowl in 2011. At least a share of second place in the final Pac-12 North Standings is also on the line between a Stanford squad with a 3-4 conference record and a Bears team that is 3-5 in league play.
The first Big Game was played on March 19, 1982, beginning a series that is tied for the ninth-longest between Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) teams with Stanford holding a 59-46-11 all-time advantage. A touchdown or less has separated the teams 52 times with five contests being decided on the final play, including the famous 1982 Big Game that ended with a five-lateral, 57-yard kickoff return that will forever by remembered simply as “The Play”. Cal opened Memorial Stadium with a 9-0 victory in 1923.
