Free Catalytic Converter Etching Planned In Berkeley
Fight back against thieves with this free event coming up Saturday.
BERKELEY, CA — Catalytic converter thefts have been a problem for years, and one way to fight back against potential thieves is to have your personal information etched onto the device.
The Berkeley Police Department and Argonaut Garage are teaming up for a free etching event this Saturday.
The garage staff will etch your car's VIN number onto the catalytic converter for identification and theft deterrence. You must be the registered owner of the vehicle to have the etching performed.
