Gas Prices Continue to Fall at Berkeley Pumps
Shunning the traditional summertime inflation, Berkeley's gas stations keep getting cheaper.

In a non-traditional pattern, gasoline prices continue to fall as the summer season inches forward. On Monday, the cheapest price at the pump in Berkeley was $3.69 per gallon — a drop from a few weeks ago when rates topped $4. Berkeley is also cheaper than the East Bay and state average for gas.
The summer months and the July 4th weekend are usually a time where the cost of gasoline rises along with the temperatures — but not this year. The cost for a gallon of regular unleaded has declined another nickel or so the past week and is down more than 20 cents in the past month.
Nationwide, the Lundberg Survey reports the average cost for a gallon of unleaded regular is now at $3.63. That's a decline of 11 cents in the past two weeks.
