Host A Student. Change A Life. Maybe Yours.
Ways that our communities can continue to support cultural understanding and peace through volunteerism
As a neighbor and active volunteer for AFS, the international student exchange program, I am reaching out to this community to ask that you consider hosting a high school exchange student next year. You don’t need to have students in your home, and you can even be a single parent or same-sex couple. You only need to want to share your home and culture with a student here to learn about America. Many of our students have earned competitive scholarships to come here and are superb students. I've watched families learn as much as the students from this experience. It certainly changes lives in a positive way and creates global bonds! Won’t you have a look at the student bios below and see which might be a fit for you? What better way to promote peace and intercultural understanding?
