Jogger Sexually Assaulted In Berkeley

BERKELEY, CA —A female jogger was sexually assaulted near Berkeley Bowl West in West Berkeley earlier this month, police said.

The woman was jogging in the area of Heinz Avenue and Ninth Street at about 9 a.m. on Dec. 10 when a man attacked her and sexually assaulted her on a sidewalk, according to police.Sgt. Andrew Frankel said the woman didn't need to be hospitalized following the assault.

The suspect is still at large and police aren't releasing a description of him at this time, Frankel said.
