Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Berkeley

It happened Wednesday morning on Shattuck Avenue, police say.

BERKELEY, CA — A person was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday morning in Berkeley, police said today.

The victim was located at 9 a.m. on Shattuck Avenue and told officers that the suspect pointed a black handgun at him and took money from his pocket.

Police said the victim also told them that the suspect shot the gun into the air while running away.

Police said the victim was not injured and was not a University of California at Berkeley student.
