
BERKELEY, CA — Berkeley Police are searching for three men who robbed another man of his wallet, phone and backpack two blocks from the University of California at Berkeley campus Tuesday, police said Wednesday.
The robbery took place around 10:50 p.m. at the intersection of Channing Way and Ellsworth Street south of campus, according to UC Berkeley police.
The three suspects were last seen in a white vehicle heading east on Channing Way, police said. Berkeley police searched the area but couldn't find the three men or their vehicle.

The victim wasn't hurt during the encounter, police said.
One of the suspects was described as being 20 to 30 years old, but no detailed descriptions of the suspects was available.

While the robbery took place close to campus, the case is in the jurisdiction of the Berkeley Police Department. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call that department at (510) 981-5900.
