Man Walking With Cash in Hands Allegedly Robbed by Man in Silver Cadillac

Police searched the area for the suspect and the Cadillac but could find neither.

Police are looking for a man who jumped out of a silver Cadillac and grabbed cash from a man walking on the north side of the University of California at Berkeley campus on Friday afternoon.

University police said the robbery was reported at 2:52 p.m. Friday near the corner of Hearst Avenue and La Loma Avenue. A man was walking with cash in his hands when a silver Cadillac pulled up beside him and a passenger wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts got out and took his money, police said. The victim was not hurt.

The suspect got back into the Cadillac and fled west. Police searched the area for the man and the Cadillac but could find neither.
