
On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 8, Desco in Old Oakland will be open from 3:00 to 9:00 PM serving their regular a la carte menu plus, beginning at 5:00 PM, a three-course ($48.00) or four-course ($62.00) prix fixe tasting menu with choices that will include a crudo trio of ahi tuna tartare, seabass carpaccio and smoked trout with citrus zest, Sicilian capers and fava bean pesto; handmade small ravioli filled with Certosa cheese, black truffle and buffalo ricotta salata; swordfish fillet with saffron broth, organic Iacopi Farms peas and potato tortino; and organic strawberries semifreddo with almond-caramel crunch. All prices exclude tax and gratuity.
