Oakland Warehouse Fire: Three UC Berkeley Students Among the Missing Says Student Paper

The Daily Californian says that friends of the three have reported them missing. An alumnus of the school is also reportedly missing.

Three students and a graduate of the University of California-Berkeley are among the many still missing after a fire tore through a warehouse Friday night in Oakland, according the school's student newspaper. Two dozen people are confirmed dead and a "significant" number of people are still missing.

The paper - The Daily Californian - reports that several people had been at the warehouse where an electronic music dance party was going on.

The paper says that Griffin Madden, Jenny Morris, and Vanessa Plotkin have all been reported missing by friends.

David Cline, a graduate of the school, is also reportedly missing.

The paper quotes Seung Lee, a former online managing editor of the paper who has graduated, describing the scene.

"We just saw this thick black smoke just coming out of the front windows at a very furious pace," said Lee who had been at the party before leaving and then returning.

Friends of the missing took to social media to post about them.
