Planned Parenthood Fundraiser at Saturn Café Wednesday
Show the event flier at the Saturn Café on Wednesday, and it will donate 10 percent of its profits from your meal to Planned Parenthood.
On Wednesday, will donate 10 percent of its profits from some meals to Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.
To have your meal at the vegetarian café benefit Planned Parenthood, bring the flier for the fundraiser to the café anytime between 11 a.m. and midnight, to show the waiter when you order.
At 6 p.m., the café will host a dinnertime discussion of the Planned Parenthood organization's work in the community. Planned Parenthood Mar Monte offers reproductive and general health services to women, men and children in several regions of mid-California and Northern Nevada, including Alameda and San Mateo counties locally.

Nationally, Planned Parenthood was thrown into the limelight earlier this year when the national budget agreement was held up, partially because of a debate over whether the organization should receive federal funding. The organization currently receives about $363 million in federal money, according to the Huffington Post. In the end, the budget was passed without altering Planned Parenthood's funding.
