Popular Japanese-Style Bread Pop-Up Opening Store In Berkeley: Report

The owner plans to open by next month, according to a report from the San Francisco Chronicle.

BERKELEY, CA — A popular pop-up that made a known for itself with its Japanese-style delicacies is opening up its first brick-and-mortar store in Berkeley, according to a report from the San Francisco Chronicle.

Milk Cloud Bakery — known for its soft shokupan or Japanese-style milk bread — is opening up its first official location at the former home of La Noisette Sweets in Berkeley, according to the report.

La Noisette will close on April 1. The owner of Milk Cloud Bakery, meanwhile, hopes to hit the ground running by opening their store that same month, according to the report.

The shop's menu includes soft and bouncy loaves of milk bread, cheesecakes and cream sandwiches. There is also tea and coffee available.

Milk Cloud Bakery will be located at 2710 Eight St. in Berkeley.
