Register Now For Spurs Fall Season Youth Soccer Programs (and Summer program for 3-5 year-olds)

Progressive, well-run programs for boys and girls ages 3-19 of all levels. Practices & home games all in or around Berkeley.

Here's how to get more information and sign up for each of the programs:

Lil' Spurs

Now entering its second year, Lil' Spurs has been wildly popular because it serves the age group of 3 to 5-year-olds, which until now has been under appreciated by youth sports. We firmly believe that not having programs like Lil' Spurs is a big part of why such an alarmingly high number of kids quit sports during or after their first year. The challenge that has scared many programs away from 3 to 5-year-olds is that they require a lot of individualized attention. We provide that with a small army of teenage assistant trainers working under the guidance of a specialized professional trainer, and at the very affordable price of $75/season.

Lil' Spurs has had great success coaxing the shyest of kids out of their shells and getting them to feel comfortable in a team sports environment so they can enjoy the games and their teammates. The program runs year-round in 7-week seasons, and at the end of each season, our staff will advise parents on the level of each child's readiness for the next step up into recreational soccer.

The summer season of Lil' Spurs starts in just two weeks and runs through the end of July. If you're curious, but not sure if your child is ready, just come give it a try. If after a couple sessions it's not working out, we'll give you a full refund, no questions asked.

Competitive Soccer

Our flagship offering, the Spurs competitive program has experienced explosive growth and consistently earned the highest customer service ratings in recent years with its relentlessly player-centric (vs. team-centric) approach and a culture of questioning "the way things have always been done" and reinventing them whenever it makes sense.

New players are always welcome, and if you feel stuck somewhere that you don't want to be, we can usually help with that too.

Pre-Comp Soccer

This is a new program that we're offering for the first time this fall for recreational players who plan to switch to competitive soccer in the spring. This season it is only for players who are born in 2009 (U8's), as this will be the primary age group transitioning to comp next season. It's called "Comp-Prep" because it has the single focus of maximizing each player's preparedness for competitive soccer.

Recreational Soccer

Spurs recreational soccer can either be a stepping stone that leads to competitive soccer, or a place where the commitment level and affordability are just what you're looking for long term. At Spurs, recreational soccer does not mean that coaches aren't held to any standards, or that they may not even show up sometimes.
