Sexual Assault Reported On UC Berkeley Campus

University Police are investigating the Sunday report.

BERKELEY, CA — Police are investigating a sexual assault that was reported on the University of California at Berkeley campus shortly before 11 a.m. Sunday.

The assault occurred in the area southeast of Stephens Hall by the creek, according to University of California police. The male suspect is known by the female victim, police said. Neither person is affiliated with the campus.

Anyone with information about the alleged assault, or similar incidents, is asked to call UC Berkeley police at (510) 642-0472 during business hours or (510) 642-6760 at all other times.
