Staying Connected in the Midst of Cancer

A May 2 workshop for those dealing with cancer, in themselves or loved ones

When you or a loved one is going through cancer, your time and energy are used up. Chemo fog can set in, making it difficult to come up with the answers and solutions you need. Relationships can suffer from the strain.

There is a simple skill that can help you get through this time while staying connected with your friends and family and with your sense of self.

Called the Connection Practice, it’s a way to give empathy, to yourself and others, and to tap your inner wisdom. It’s a powerful tool that can help you deal effectively with the emotional side of having cancer.

The workshop will be presented by Rita Marie Johnson, founder of the Connection Practice, educator, bestselling author and two-time cancer survivor. For a decade, Rita Marie taught the practice she founded in public schools in Costa Rica, where more than 1,500 teachers and 40,000 students have been trained. She is now living in the United States, bringing the practice to schools, businesses, nonprofits, faith based communities and individuals.
