Viewfinder: "Tour de DREAMS" Takes Off in Berkeley

"DREAM" riders embarked on a ten day, 540 mile journey from UC Berkeley to UCLA on Friday, in support of the California DREAM Act and to raise scholarship money for undocumented students.

The California DREAM Act would allow undocumented students to receive financial aid to attend public colleges. Part of the DREAM Act, AB 130, was signed into law last month, allowing undocumented students to receive privately funded scholarships. AB 131, a bill to allow undocumented students to receive publicly funded scholarships, is still going through the Senate Appropriations Committee, according to the Huffington Post
