"A Tour of Italy" Concert

Berkeley Baroque String Concert today! Saturday March 11 at 4:00 pm

Join the Berkeley Baroque Strings for “A Tour of Italy.” Experience the beauty of Pietro Locatelli’s “Il Pianto d’Arianna,” Francesco Geminiani’s “La Follia,” and Arcangelo Corelli’s “Concerto Grosso.” Also on the program will be movements from Vivaldi’s “Concerto for Two Violins,” “Concerto for Cello, Strings, and Continuo,” and “Concerto for Violone in d minor.” played on the violone, an early form of double bass.

Under the music direction of Kati Kyme, a member of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra and the New Esterhazy Quartet, the chamber orchestra is an affiliate of the San Francisco Early Music Society.
