UC Berkeley Dorm Sexual Assault Report: Police Investigating
The two knew one another, as is the case in 90 percent of alleged campus sexual assaults.
BERKELEY, CA — Police at the University of California at Berkeley are investigating a sexual assault that occurred at an on-campus residential unit Tuesday morning.
The report of the sexual assault was received at 3:57 a.m., according to campus police.
The assault allegedly occurred early in the morning and involved a male student suspect and female student victim. The two knew each other, police said.

- Sexual assault is a felony in the state of CA. Sentencing can include up to 10 years in prison, fines, registration as a sex offender and expulsion from the University.
