UCSF Health, John Muir Health To Open Berkeley Center
Primary, specialty and urgent care will be provided immediately, with specialties added down the line.

BERKELEY, CA — University of California at San Francisco Health will partner with John Muir Health to open the Berkeley Outpatient Center in June, officials with the medical centers announced Wednesday.
The facility will be located at 3100 San Pablo Ave. and provide primary, specialty and urgent care, in addition to other health services.
The outpatient center will open with seven family physicians, and a nurse practitioner will join the team in September. Specialty offices in audiology, cardiology, dermatology, neurosurgery and many others will also
open in the following months.

"This center represents a new model for health care that keeps patients close to the physicians who know them, while bringing specialists from UCSF and John Muir Health directly to the community," UCSF Health
president Mark Laret said.
Doctors hope to serve patients from Berkeley, Oakland and Emeryville. The center is located about a 20-minute walk from the Ashby BART station.

Urgent care will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Berkeley Outpatient Center will accept most major health insurance plans, including HMO plans through Canopy Health, according to UCSF Health.
