(“Spurs” for short) is a large regional soccer club serving the East Bay communities of Berkeley, Albany, Richmond, El Cerrito, El Sobrante, Kensington, San Pablo, Pinole, and Hercules.

One of our core tenets as an organization is a relentless commitment to equality in the services and opportunities that we provide to all our players…And when inequality is endemic within the community at large, we apply the same relentless commitment to correcting it.

In the Bay Area, there is at best 1 girl for every 4 boys playing soccer. The more telling statistic is that the percentage of girls who quit soccer after their first or second year is over 50% greater than the rate for boys. That disparity is on us, and every other youth soccer club in the area. But the good news is that it’s a fixable problem, and we have been leading the charge to fix for the last 2 years.

There is no other club that starts early enough

Our revolutionary Lil’ Spurs program, for 3-5 year-olds, provides the personalized attention to your daughters at every, single session, and provides you with the guidance to only introduce her to recreational soccer when she is prepared to enjoy and succeed at it.

There is no other club that sticks with them

Our pioneering Competitive-Prep program provides the same guidance and preparation to ensure a smooth and successful transition from recreational to competitive soccer.

There is no other club that inspires them

Everyone needs heroes, and girls tend to get really shortchanged in this department. At Spurs, we create their heroes, and the result is beautiful. Our teenage players are the core workforce that provides the one-on-one training in our Lil’ Spurs program. And our semi-pro women’s players are our professional coaches. This creates amazing relationships between our players of all ages, which transcends soccer. And it also makes us by far the biggest employer of female soccer players in the Bay Area.

There is no other club that celebrates them

We are the only youth soccer club around that has its own semi-pro women’s team. The Tottenham Hotspur East Bay Ladies, which competes in the WPSL, is a focal point of our club, and one of the things we are most proud of. Every home game is an event that we rally our whole soccer community around.

There is no other club with a comprehensive set of integrated programs to guide and prepare girls every step of the way through a lifetime of soccer.
