1 Killed, 2 Wounded In Beverly Crest Mansion Shooting

The shooting may have occurred at a house party, though reports have not been confirmed.

BEVERLY CREST, CA — One person was killed and another wounded Wednesday morning in a shooting at a home in Beverly Crest.

Officers responded to the 2200 block of San Ysidro Drive, near the Franklin Canyon Reservoir, about 2:30 a.m. and located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

One victim died at the scene and a second victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
The shooting may have occurred at a house party, according to broadcast reports, but police could not immediately confirm those reports. Good Day LA reported that the shooting took place at a multimillion-dollar property that was recently listed as an $8,000/month rental.

Los Angleles police have said that a few people were gathered inside the home. There are conflicting witness reports as to whether the shooting took place in outside. Some witnesses reported to police that they saw a car drive by right before the gunshots.

The shooting takes place about a mile from the 13200 block of West Mullholland Drive in Beverly Hills, where a woman was killed and two others were wounded on Aug. 4 at 1:15 a.m., after shots were fired at a large mansion party.

The name of the victim, a motive for the shooting and a description of the shooter were not disclosed.
