1300 Lose Power In Beverly Crest, Westwood
The area around Beverly Crest and Westwood lost power Tuesday morning, LADWP has confirmed.
BEVERLY CREST, CA — Over 1300 customers in the Beverly Crest area lost power Tuesday morning, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has confirmed. Power in the area from Beverly Crest to Westwood has been restored to all but two customers as of 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, according to the LADWP website.
The outage was first reported at 10:45, according to spokesperson Albert Rodriguez, and restored at 1:12 p.m. About 1300 people were affected for about two and a half hours. LADWP does not disclose exact street boundaries of outages, Rodriguez told Patch.
The cause of the outage is under investigation.

In the past few months, thousands of SCE customers have lost power or been put under consideration for losing power due to critical fire weather. LADWP does not purposefully shut down electric power, a spokesperson confirmed to Patch.
