5 Suspects In Beverly Hills Armed Robbery Arrested On Freeway

Five suspected in an armed robbery were arrested on Thursday.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — Five suspects in an armed robbery in Beverly Hills were arrested by California Highway Patrol officers on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Diamond Bar Friday evening.

The CHP received a call at 7:17 p.m. Thursday from the Beverly Hills Police Department regarding the alleged robbery. The suspects entered the freeway at Western Avenue and the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway and led officers on a pursuit into East Los Angeles, a CHP officer told City News Service.

The suspects transitioned to the PomonaFreeway where the CHP took over the pursuit. At some point the suspects executed a U turn and drove on the opposite side of the freeway, attempting to exit at Grand Avenue, CHP said. They jumped out of their vehicle and ran way but were quickly taken into custody by CHP officers around 7:54 p.m.

NBC 4 reported the suspects allegedly robbed someone on Beverly Drive at gunpoint and sped away toward the Santa Monica Freeway.
