New Kosher Mediterranean Restaurant Opening In Beverly Hills
Chef Eyal Shani's kosher concept will debut at SIXTY Beverly Hills with signature dishes and California-inspired additions.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Chef Eyal Shani is bringing his acclaimed Malka restaurant to Los Angeles, with the new location set to open Sept. 1 at SIXTY Beverly Hills.
The opening marks Malka's first Los Angeles location and follows restaurants in Tel Aviv, New York and West Palm Beach. Shani is opening the Beverly Hills restaurant in partnership with Los Angeles-based Pagani Projects.
Malka is a full-service restaurant built around Shani's ingredient-driven approach to Mediterranean cooking, with a menu that changes with the seasons and available produce. The restaurant follows kosher dietary laws but is designed to appeal to diners regardless of whether they keep kosher.

“Los Angeles is a city of freedom and becoming,” Shani told Patch in a statement. “Malka arrives here not as something defined, but as something that will take shape through the people, the produce, and the longing for connection. It is a meeting between those who create and those who crave — and in that meeting, the food becomes alive.”
The Beverly Hills menu will include Malka signatures such as Queen Malka Schnitzel, a chicken schnitzel stuffed with mashed potato marrow; Branzino Hraime; onglet served over roasted white peaches; and Shani's Israeli-style hummus.

Several dishes were developed specifically for the Los Angeles restaurant, including Melanzana, Niçoise Salad and Wild King Ora Salmon Bruschetta. The kitchen also plans to make use of seasonal California produce such as figs, pluots and peaches.
The beverage menu will feature kosher wines and cocktails, including two drinks exclusive to the Beverly Hills location: the Iris, made with vodka, white peach-mint purée and lemon, and the Pomelo Paloma, made with mezcal, fresh pomelo and lime.
Designed by Jacob Turgeman Design, the restaurant features a sculptural white oak bar, brass finishes, textured surfaces and communal and intimate seating. Produce displays and ingredient-focused styling are incorporated throughout the dining room.
The opening adds to Shani's growing Southern California presence. His Miznon concept debuted at Grand Central Market in 2025 and later expanded to Beverly Grove. Shani's restaurant group also operates concepts including HaSalon, Port Sa'id and SHMONÉ in cities around the world.
Malka is located at SIXTY Beverly Hills, 9360 Wilshire Blvd. The restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Reservations are available through Resy, and walk-ins will be accepted based on availability.
