BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Beverly Hills High School alumni will have new opportunities to return to campus, tour recently completed facilities and reconnect with the school through a new Beverly Hills Unified School District initiative.

Board of Education President Judith Manouchehri recently launched Back to Beverly, an initiative focused on bringing generations of BHHS graduates back to the campus and building connections between alumni and current students.

"There are places on this campus that stay with you long after graduation. The lawn where you met your friends, the auditorium where you performed, the field where you competed, or simply the hallways you walked every day," said Manouchehri, who is also a BHHS alum.

"Back to Beverly is an opportunity for our alumni to come home, revisit those memories and see the extraordinary spaces that are now creating new memories for today's students."

The initiative comes after major portions of the high school campus reopened over the past year following extensive modernization work.

The historic K.L. Peters Auditorium and Salter Family Theatre reopened with restored architectural features along with updated sound, lighting and theatrical technology. The campus has also added six new tennis courts, a new softball field and new classroom and performance spaces in Buildings B3 and B4.

The Grand Lawn, a longtime gathering place at BHHS, reopened this spring after years of construction.

Through Back to Beverly, alumni will be invited to campus on select dates to tour the new facilities, revisit familiar parts of the school and see how the campus has changed.

District officials also hope the initiative will eventually create more opportunities for alumni to connect with current students through career days, mentorship programs, classroom visits and other partnerships.

BHHS alumni interested in participating in Back to Beverly can find available opportunities here.
