Beverly Hills 9- and 10-year-old All-Stars Fall to Rival
Loss to Culver City places group in loser's bracket.
The Beverly Hills 9- and 10-year-old All-Stars had opened the California District 25 Tournament with a rousing 11-9 victory over Malibu. But on Wednesday they were dropped into the loser's bracket with a tough 3-2 loss to rival Culver City at Memorial Park in Santa Monica.
Beverly Hills can still advance to the championship game, but the road gets much more difficult with the loss. They now play the West L.A. All-Stars on Friday at 5:30 p.m., and if they win that game they will have to win games on Sunday and Monday to get a shot at the top team in the winner's bracket.
