Fall ArtSHOW Coming To Beverly Hills This Weekend
More than 200 artists will exhibit and sell their work in sculpture, photography, mixed media, watercolor, ceramics, jewelry, and more.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA – The City of Beverly Hills will hold the fall artSHOW this weekend, Oct. 20-21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Beverly Gardens Park along four blocks of Santa Monica Boulevard from Rodeo Drive to Rexford Drive. The Beverly Hills artSHOW is a free event that brings 250 artists from all over Southern California, the Southwest and the rest of the United States together, and is expected to draw nearly 40,000 people to Beverly Hills, the city press release said.
A special show feature called “Making Faces” will highlight artists’ portrait-style artwork. Twelve artists, including ceramicists, painters, a photographer and a sculptor will present work devoted to the human face, and in one case, some very human-animal faces, the press release said. Demonstrating artist Carol Steinberg is available to paint your portrait throughout the weekend.
All participating artists will exhibit and sell their work in sculpture, photography, mixed media, watercolor, ceramics, glass, jewelry, and more, giving attendees a special opportunity to acquire limited editions and newly released pieces. There will also be musical performances, children and family art projects, fine cuisine from Salt Catering in the tree-canopied wine & dine garden and the beer garden, and gastro-worthy food trucks.

Many previous first place and other major award winners return to the fall show. Clovis Blackwell, who received both First Place in Drawing and Printmaking and the Best of Show award at the spring show, will exhibit his unique work – apocalyptic, entertaining, pop-art-like explosions, created by hand with layers of silkscreened acrylic paint, the press release said.
The 2018 artSHOW sponsors and media partners include: Engel & Volkers, Blank Espresso, LA Weekly, the Los Angeles Art Association, LA Art Party, Yelp, and the Beverly Hills Conference and Visitor’s Bureau. Food and Beverage support come from Stella Artois and Hint Water, and our new caterer for the Wine and Beer Gardens, Salt Catering. The show’s charitable partner is Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and its sister organization, Healing Art with Kids.
