Beverly Hills Hosts Earth Day Celebration At Farmers' Market

There will be a petting zoo, paper-shredding station, free gardening compost, live music and more to celebrate Earth Day.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA – The City of Beverly Hills will host its annual Earth Day Celebration on Sunday, April 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held in conjuction with the weekly Farmers' Market in the 9300 Block of Civic Center Drive. There will be pet adoptions, a petting zoo, paper-shredding station, free gardening compost, live music and more to celebrate sustainability and the environment, the press release said.

The "Run to Remember Race" honoring fallen first responders will be passing through the City earlier the same morning. As a result, there will be several road closures in Beverly Hills that will affect arrival to the celebration and market, the City of Beverly Hills said. They are:

  • 4:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Avenue of the Stars, in both directions from South Santa Monica Boulevard to Pico Blvd.
  • Midnight - 10:00 a.m. - South Santa Monica Boulevard, eastbound lane only from Ave. of the Stars to Burton Way
  • 4:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. - Burton Way, eastbound lane only from La Cienega Blvd. to South Santa Monica Blvd.
  • 4:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. - Pico Boulevard, in both directions from Motor Ave. to La Cienega Blvd.
