Beverly Hills Road Closures: LA Marathon Will Zip Through City

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Beverly Hills will get to participate in the triumph of the Los Angeles Marathon this weekend... and also the traffic.

The 36th annual LA Marathon kicks off at Dodger Stadium Sunday and will follow a new course finishing on Avenue of the Stars in Century City, according to the website for the event.

In Beverly Hills, runners will be met and cheered on at various locations by organizations including the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation, the Concern Foundation, which funds cancer research, and Kitten Rescue, an organization that rescues and finds homes for homeless cats.

Just after runners make their way out of Beverly Hills, they'll see a performance from Ronny North, a guitarist from Downey. Ronny North will be at Santa Monica Boulevard and Westwood Boulevard.

Here is a list of all the street closures in Beverly Hills that will last from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

• Doheny Drive from North Santa Monica Boulevard to Burton Way
• Burton Way from Doheny Drive to Santa Monica Boulevard
• South Santa Monica Boulevard from Rexford Drive to Rodeo Drive
• Rodeo Drive from South Santa Monica Boulevard to Wilshire Boulevard
• Wilshire Boulevard from Rodeo Drive to South Santa Monica Boulevard
• South Santa Monica Boulevard from Wilshire Boulevard to Moreno Drive
