Beverly Hills Salon Owner Indicted On 7 Counts For Capitol Riot
Gina Bisignano was indicted by a grand jury Friday for participating in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — Gina Bisignano, the Beverly Hills salon owner accused last month of participating in and egging on the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, was indicted by a grand jury on seven counts.
Bisignano, 52, was arrested at her home in Beverly Hills on Jan. 19 on several charges, including civil disorder, destruction of government property, and violent entry or disorderly conduct, among others.
On Friday, she was indicted by a grand jury on seven counts: Obstruction of an Official Proceeding; Aiding and Abetting; Civil Disorder; Destruction of Government Property; Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds; Engaging in Physical Violence In a Restricted Building or Grounds; and Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building.

The indictment alleges that Bisignano entered the United States Capitol "without authority" and engaged in "disorderly and disruptive conduct and destroying civil property." It also accuses her of aiding and abbetting the destruction of a window at the U.S. Capitol building and engaging in disorderly conduct with a law enforcement officer.
Bisignano, who first came to fame in December after TMZ publicized her homophobic rant at a protest at the home of Los Angeles County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer, confirmed in a Jan. 14 interview with The Beverly Hills Courier that she attended the rally and entered the Capitol building through a window. However, she claimed that she got caught up in the moment, but did not commit any violence.

However, several videos on Twitter show Bisignano encouraging other rioters to forcibly enter the Capitol building. One video shows a woman appearing to be Bisignano throwing a water bottle in the direction of a law enforcement officer as nearby rioters attempt to push through a blockade of riot police.
An FBI affidavit also cites a video showing her encouraging other rioters to enter a broken window into the Capitol. "We need Americans," she says. "Come on guys. We need patriots. You guys, it's the way in."
Footage also exists of Bisignano encouraging rioters, the affidavit says.
"Everybody, we need gas masks, we need weapons. We need strong, angry patriots to help our boys, they don't want to leave. We need protection," Bisignano is said to have cried into a bullhorn as nearby rioters assaulted police officers.
Bisignano was arrested Jan. 19 alongside two other Beverly Hills residents: anti-vaccine doctor Simone Gold and John Strand, a model, actor, and communications director for America's Frontline Doctors, Gold's anti-vaccination and anti-lockdown organization.
She appeared in federal court in downtown Los Angeles that afternoon, where she was briefly released on a $170,000 bond and subject to home detention. However, later that evening, prosecutors for the United States Attorney's Office objected to the ruling, and obtained a stay and detention order from a Washington, D.C. judge, a U.S. Attorney's Office spokesperson told The Beverly Hills Courier. Bisignano was ordered back into federal custody and ordered transported to Washington, D.C.
Gold and Strand, who were only charged with restricted building or grounds; violent entry and disorderly conduct, were released on $15,000 and $20,000 bonds respectively.
