Beverly Hills To Unveil Emergency Supply Box At Sunday Event

The city is installing boxes throughout Beverly Hills that will provide easy first-aid access for residents during large-scale emergencies.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA — The city will install its first emergency supply box during an event Sunday as part of a program meant to provide residents with easy access to first-aid equipment during large-scale emergencies.

The box will be unveiled during a family-friendly event at La Cienega Park Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m., according to a news release from the city.

Fire Chief Greg Barton and Police Chief Mark Stainbrook will be on site to meet with residents. The event will also include food trucks and lessons on CPR and first aid.

“Our incredible Fire and Police Departments along with our ‘Just in Case BH’ volunteers have truly made our community their top priority when it comes to ensuring everyone gets access to life saving medical supplies,” Mayor Lili Bosse said. “Emergency Supply Boxes such as these will give our residents and businesses another valuable resource they can get to quickly in an emergency.”

The box installation is part of the Just in Case BH program coordinated between the city and the fire and police departments. Barton said more boxes will will be installed in nine zones throughout the city in the coming months.
