'Boss Baby' Unseats 'Beauty And The Beast' At Box Office

LOS ANGELES, CA -- "The Boss Baby" was definitely the boss at North American theaters over the weekend, with the animated comedy knocking the Disney powerhouse "Beauty and the Beast" out of the top spot at the box office, according to final figures released Monday.
"The Boss Baby" debuted with $50.2 million, ahead of the $45.4 million collected between Friday and Sunday by "Beauty and the Beast," according to box office tracker comScore.
"Beauty and the Beast" has earned $393.3 million in North American theaters in its three weeks of release.

The visually rich "Ghost in the Shell" debuted in third place with $18.7 million, while the superhero tale "Power Rangers" placed fourth with $14.2 million.
"Kong: Skull Island" earned $8.6 million over the weekend, giving it a four-week haul of $147.6 million.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were "Logan" ($6.1 million); "Get Out" ($5.7 million); "Life" ($5.6 million); "Chips" ($4 million); and "The Zookeeper's Wife" ($3.3 million).
