BEVERLY HILLS, CA — A broken irrigation pipe led to a small mudslide Tuesday that damaged an accessory dwelling unit on a residential property in Beverly Hills, authorities said.
Firefighters were sent to the neighborhood on Hillcrest Road at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday and the water flow was shut off, city spokeswoman Lauren Santillana said.
The pipe was located on a property where a residence was under construction at 1187 Hillcrest Road, and the mudslide damaged an unoccupied accessory dwelling unit on a residential property at 1040 Hillcrest Road, Santillana said.
