Crime Rates Vary Among Beverly Hills-Adjacent LA Neighborhoods: Report
Beverly Crest and Beverlywood had among the lowest crime rates in all of Los Angeles in 2022.
BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Crime rates last year in Los Angeles city neighborhoods bordering Beverly Hills vary widely, according to a report from USA Today.
Beverlywood had one of the lowest crime rates across the entire city of Los Angeles, at 22 per 1,000 people. The numbers widely varied in other nearby neighborhoods: Pico Robertson (48 per 1,000), Beverly Grove (89 per 1,000), Beverly Crest (24 per 1,000), Westwood (28 per 1,000), Century City (108 per 1,000) and Carthay (70 per 1,000).
The newspaper analyzed Los Angeles Police Department data gathered by the nonprofit Crosstown, which is based at the USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, according to the report.

It noted that numbers in smaller neighborhoods could be skewed due to lower populations. Century City is among the city's less populated neighborhoods.
The report did not contain data about independent cities like Beverly Hills.
