However, it is important to not just take the word of the manufacturer of a whitening toothpaste, as this benefit could be claimed by just about anyone. Rather, look for a seal of approval from a reputable organization like the American Dental Association. Their mark of approval no only says that they believe the product to be effective at the job of all toothpastes (cleaning your teeth), but also at what it says it will do (whiten). That seal of approval should be easy to find on the packaging of the toothpaste.
